Terms & Conditions
The ground rules for using our website and booking a trip with Zoma Trails.
These Terms & Conditions apply when you visit zomatrails.com or book a tour with Zoma Trails (“Zoma Trails”, “we”, “us”). By using this website or booking with us, you agree to them. Please read them before you pay.
1. About us
Zoma Trails is an online tour and travel company that plans and arranges mountain trips across India, with a focus on Meghalaya. We work over WhatsApp, phone and email. Contact: contact@zomatrails.com, +91 95466 30814.
2. Bookings and payment
- A booking is confirmed only after you receive written confirmation from us and the required payment has been received.
- The quote tells you the dates, inclusions, exclusions and total price for your trip. Please read it carefully before paying.
- Prices are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR) and may change until your booking is confirmed, because hotel, transport and seasonal rates can change.
- Balance payments must be made by the date given in your quote. We may release your booking if payment is not received on time.
3. What is included
Inclusions and exclusions differ by package and are listed in your quote. Items not listed as included, such as flights or train tickets to the starting point, personal expenses, optional activities, tips and entry fees, are paid by you unless stated otherwise.
4. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations and refunds are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
5. Itinerary changes
Mountain travel is affected by weather, landslides, road conditions, permits and local closures. We may change the order of sightseeing, hotels or transport when needed for safety or practical reasons. We will inform you as soon as possible and try to offer an equal or better alternative. Sample itineraries on this website are only examples and are not a promise of a fixed schedule.
6. Your responsibilities as a traveller
- Give us correct names, contact details and the number of travellers. Carry a valid government photo ID for all travellers, including children.
- Tell us in advance about medical conditions, mobility limits, pregnancy, allergies or dietary needs that may affect your trip.
- Be fit enough for the activities you choose. Some treks, such as the Nongriat root-bridge trek, involve many steps and slippery paths.
- Follow the advice of your driver, guide and local authorities, and respect local communities, forests, rivers and customs.
- Be on time for pickups and departures. We cannot refund services missed because of late arrival.
7. Safety and risk
Travel in hills and forests involves some risk, including weather changes, uneven terrain and water activities. You take part in activities at your own risk and are advised to buy travel and medical insurance. We take reasonable care in choosing partners and routes but cannot control nature.
8. Third-party services
We arrange hotels, transport, guides and activities through local partners. We choose them with care, but they run their own services. Where a partner fails to deliver, we will help you resolve it, and our responsibility is limited as described below.
9. Conduct
We may end a traveller’s participation without refund if their behaviour puts the safety, comfort or property of others at risk, including illegal activity, harassment or damage to property or the environment.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Zoma Trails is not liable for loss, delay, injury or extra costs caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as natural events, strikes, government orders, accidents or the acts of third parties. Our total liability for any booking is limited to the amount you paid us for that booking.
11. Website use
The content on this website, including the logo, name, text and designs, belongs to Zoma Trails. You may not copy or reuse it for commercial purposes without our written permission. Photos and descriptions are for guidance and may differ slightly from what you see on the ground.
12. Privacy
How we handle your personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time you book applies to your booking.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. We encourage you to contact us first so we can resolve any concern directly. Any dispute that cannot be settled between us will be subject to the courts of competent jurisdiction in India.
