Zoma Trails (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through zomatrails.com, WhatsApp, phone and email, how we use it, and the choices you have. It is written with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 in mind.
1. Information we collect
- Details you give us: your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email address, city, travel dates, group size, preferences and any notes you write in the enquiry form or in messages.
- Booking details: names and ID details of travellers where needed for hotels, permits or transport, and payment confirmation details. We do not store your card or UPI PIN details on this website.
- Basic technical data: your browser, device type and pages visited, which may be collected through standard server logs and, if enabled, analytics tools.
2. How the enquiry form works
The enquiry form on this website does not send your details to a database. When you press the button, it opens WhatsApp with your message filled in, and the details are shared with us only when you send that message.
3. How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry, prepare itineraries and quotes, and take your booking.
- To arrange hotels, transport, guides and activities for your trip.
- To contact you about your booking, changes, payments and safety.
- To improve our website and services, and to meet legal and accounting requirements.
- To send you offers or updates only if you have asked for them. You can opt out at any time.
4. Who we share it with
We share only what is needed to deliver your trip, with hotels, drivers, guides, activity providers and payment services. They may use your information only for that purpose. We do not sell your personal information. We may share information if required by law or by a government authority.
5. WhatsApp, calls and email
When you message or call us, the conversation is handled through WhatsApp (by Meta), your phone network or your email provider, which have their own privacy policies. Please do not send card numbers, PINs or passwords over chat.
6. Cookies
This website does not use cookies to track you for advertising. Our fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address when the page loads. If we add analytics or advertising tools in future, we will update this policy.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep enquiry and booking information for as long as needed to serve you and to meet legal, tax and accounting duties. After that, we delete it or make it anonymous.
8. Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including limiting who can see it. No method of storage or transfer is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you may withdraw consent for marketing messages. Write to contact@zomatrails.com and we will respond within a reasonable time.
10. Children
Our services are meant for adults. If a trip includes children, their details are collected from the parent or guardian booking the trip, and used only to arrange the trip.
11. Links to other sites
This website may link to other websites, such as WhatsApp or Google Maps. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the date below.
